Prachin Bharat (प्राचीन भारत) – Navin Sarvekshan (नवीन सर्वेक्षण) by Pappu Singh Prajapat is a Hindi medium book on ancient Indian history. It runs from the Stone Age to 1200 AD (पाषाण काल से 1200 ईस्वीं तक). The whole book is written in Hindi (Devanagari script), so Hindi medium aspirants can study ancient India in their own language. This is the 2nd Edition, published in the Classic Print Series.
As its subtitle "Navin Sarvekshan" (new survey) suggests, the book takes a fresh look at ancient Indian history. It covers the long span from prehistoric times, through the early civilisations and the ancient kingdoms and empires, up to 1200 AD. The medieval period continues in the author's Madhyakaleen Bharat series, which begins with Mugalkaleen Bharat (Part-2).
The book is useful for RPSC and UPSC examinations and other state PSC competitive examinations where ancient Indian history is part of the syllabus. It helps with both prelims and mains preparation.
