The New Criminal Laws Combo, Edition 2024, published by Whitesmann Publishing, is a set of three English medium bare acts with comments (टिप्पणियाँ) covering India's new criminal laws (नए आपराधिक कानून). The books are written in English; this is not the Hindi medium edition. All three Sanhitas are dated 25-12-2023 and came into force with effect from 1 July 2024. The set includes: The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (भारतीय न्याय संहिता; 45 of 2023), which repeals the Indian Penal Code, 1860. It was enforced w.e.f. 1-7-2024 vide S.O. 850(E), dated 23-2-2024, except sub-section (2) of section 106. It includes a classification of offences. The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता; 46 of 2023), which repeals the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. It was enforced w.e.f. 1-7-2024 vide S.O. 848(E), dated 23-2-2024, except the entry relating to section 106(2) of the BNS in the First Schedule. The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम; 47 of 2023), which repeals the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. It was enforced w.e.f. 1-7-2024 vide S.O. 849(E), dated 23-2-2024.
